It's a few days late - but July was quite a busy month.

But, here I sit, away in the Alps for a few adventures with my youngest daughter.
It's bitter sweet being here - I'll come on to that.
But for now, I'm keen to just focus on lots of fun times.

The month started with a consultation on a medial meniscal tear in my left knee. Frustrating injury as a result of a good old fashioned shove wobbling in a woodland with a chainsaw. I took the opportunity to have a look at a pretty lovely sign - something that I'm grateful to have seen.
The no-mad connection to the places we adventure becomes more and more important.
There has been a good bit of variety in the month - some fun event management stuff - race control at Ras y Wyddfa

Some more exciting safety type stuff at Campo Sancho

as well as some lovely time out on foot and on a bike around home.

As well as the "no-mad" type stuff, work from a laptop and out and about has been busy.
I've found with my dodgy knee that making sure I do something fairly regularly is important.
The MRI shows a small tear, which the consultant thinks is 60%+ likely to be manageable with physiotherapy. Definitely seeing a specialist has been a great journey, and I'm keen to get stuck into rehab.
Just before heading down to the Alps the brilliant Cybi Coastal Marathon took place, and this along with Ring o Fire 2025 will see a write up at the end of the month.
Where have all the courses gone? Well, I've taken the decision to change the no-mad timetable on this - read more about this in September. For now, it's time to get out on some via ferrata and enjoy some Alpine soul time.
